Patients decide before they ever call

People choose a practice from a phone, often late at night, often in a hurry. We build clinic websites that are accurate, easy to navigate, and usable by everyone who needs care.

The context

What makes healthcare work different

A clinic website carries a heavier load than most. It has to explain services in plain language, hold up to a symptom search at midnight, and let someone book without calling. It also has to be right, because the copy describes care.

Then there is the pace. New guidance lands. A reporter asks for comment. A treatment gets approved and the phones start ringing. The site has to keep up with the practice.

We work as the development team inside that pace, with a roadmap that keeps moving and reserved room for the things nobody scheduled.

How we help

What we pick up for practices

Most of our healthcare work sits inside one ongoing engagement rather than a series of separate projects.

Service line pages

A clear page for each specialty, written with your clinicians and structured so search engines and AI answers can find them.

Navigation people can follow

Most clinic sites hide half of what the practice offers. We rebuild the menu around how patients look for care, then hand the editing back to your team.

Forms and lead routing

Intake and contact forms that land in the system your marketing team actually works in, without a plugin stack nobody maintains.

Accessibility as standard

We build to WCAG standards on every project. For a practice that serves the public, that is both a legal consideration and the point of the work.

Careful handling of patient data

We review how your hosting, forms, and integrations move information, and we raise anything that looks like exposure with the people responsible for compliance.

Same-day publishing

When press coverage or new guidance arrives, we can have a page live that afternoon.

From one engagement

What an ongoing clinic engagement looks like

Spectrum Medical Care is a primary and specialty care clinic in Phoenix. We have been their development team since late 2025, working two-week sprints against a shared backlog.

A backlog that moves every two weeks

A refresh initiative, a handful of new landing pages, navigation and content updates, podcast episodes, and whatever the week brings.

~40 tickets in a typical two-week sprint

Room reserved for the unplanned

Press requests, new guidance, and same-week publishing arrive whether or not they were on the roadmap. We earmark capacity for them up front instead of pretending they will not show up.

20% of sprint capacity held for reactive work

Press coverage handled the same day

When a Phoenix newspaper ran a story that sent traffic to the clinic, the landing page went up that afternoon.

Where care matters

How we handle the sensitive parts

Healthcare work has edges that general web work does not. Here is how we treat them.

We map how data actually moves

Forms, hosting, analytics, and third-party integrations all touch information you are responsible for. We map that before we start changing things, so we know what is in scope and what needs a specialist.

We escalate rather than quietly patch

If we find something that looks like an exposure, we tell you, and we bring in your practice manager and compliance lead. We have done this on a live engagement, including the in-person walkthrough afterward. It is uncomfortable, and it is the job.

Clinicians review the copy that describes care

Service pages go through the people who deliver the service. We build that review into the schedule so it does not become the thing holding up a launch.

Your team can edit without a ticket

Menus, pages, and content blocks live in your CMS so staff can make routine changes themselves. Every sprint or two we run a working session on whatever they want to take over next.

Accessibility is not a separate line item

Patients using screen readers, keyboards, and magnification are your patients. We build to WCAG standards from the start rather than remediating later.

Proof

Running the development team for a Phoenix clinic

Spectrum Medical Care serves LGBTQ+ patients, people living with HIV, and the communities around them. We handle the development side of the practice.

Running the development team for a Phoenix healthcare clinic

A specialty-care clinic serving LGBTQ+ patients and people living with HIV needed their digital side to move as fast as their clinical side. We joined as their ongoing development team in late 2025. We run three-week sprints against a shared backlog, shipped a full site refresh, handled a HIPAA-aware data incident, and absorb same-day press requests without losing the roadmap.
Common questions

Honest answers to the questions we get most

Do you work with protected health information?

We work on the systems around it, and we take the handling seriously. We review how your hosting, forms, analytics, and integrations move information, and we raise anything that looks like exposure with your practice manager and compliance lead rather than quietly patching it.

If your setup requires a business associate agreement, raise it in the consultation and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot sign.

Can you get a page live the same day when news breaks?

Often, yes. We reserve part of every sprint for reactive work, which is what makes same-day publishing possible without pushing the roadmap. We have shipped a landing page the same afternoon a newspaper story ran. Tell us during scoping how often this happens to you and we will size the reserve accordingly.

Our clinicians need to review anything that describes care. Does that slow the work down?

Only if the review is a surprise. We build clinical review into the schedule from the start, so a service page has a named reviewer and a window before it is due. That is faster than writing copy, launching it, and correcting it later.

Is accessibility legally required for my business?
It depends on your business and where you operate. The ADA applies broadly to places of public accommodation, and courts have increasingly interpreted that to include websites, but the specifics matter. We can give you a general read in a free consultation. For certainty specific to your situation, talk to a lawyer.
Will you maintain a site you didn't build?
Yes, often. Our retainer practice started largely with sites built by other teams. We'll do a short technical and accessibility audit before the retainer starts so we both know what we're working with.
What platforms do you support?
All of them, in the sense that we've worked across most major and a lot of niche ones. We're most experienced with WordPress, Shopify, and custom Ruby on Rails applications. If your stack is something we haven't worked in before, we'll tell you that on the consultation, and we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit.
Let's talk

Want a read on where your practice's site stands?

A free consultation is the fastest way to find out. We will look at your site together, talk through the services you want people to find, and be honest about what we would fix first.

If your situation needs a specialist we are not, we will say so and point you toward one.
