Wix is fine for a brochure site. Here is where it runs out of room
We work on Wix sites, improve them, and migrate them when the business has moved past what the platform can carry. Either way you will get a straight assessment before anyone quotes you a rebuild.
What we can do inside Wix
Wix has improved a lot. Wix Studio gives designers real layout control, and Velo adds a JavaScript development layer with its own data collections and backend functions, so a Wix site can do more than most people assume.
Most of what we are asked for on Wix is not exotic. Navigation that matches how customers look for you, pages structured so search engines can read them, forms that reach the right inbox, tracking set up correctly, and the accessibility fixes the drag-and-drop editor makes easy to get wrong.
We will do that work rather than push you into a rebuild you did not need. Plenty of Wix sites are one weekend of structural cleanup away from being fine.
When Wix is the right call, and when it is not
Good fit: early, small, and self-managed
One person running a business who needs a credible site this month and cannot carry a developer. Wix is a reasonable answer, and we would rather you spend the money on customers.
Watch out: leaving is the expensive part
Wix does not give you a portable export of your site. A migration is a rebuild plus content moved across by hand or through the API. That cost grows with every page you add, so decide early rather than at two hundred pages.
Watch out: the ceiling arrives with growth
Multi-step workflows, real customer accounts, integrations with an ERP or a practice system, and heavy commerce are all where Wix stops being cheap and starts being a constraint.
Watch out: accessibility has a floor you cannot control
Editor output and some built-in components introduce issues you cannot reach from the outside. If you sell to government, education, or enterprise buyers who ask for a VPAT, that is a real problem.
If you are moving off Wix
Do it in one planned move rather than in pieces. We inventory every page and its traffic, rebuild the ones that earn their place, and map redirects from the old addresses to the new ones so the search visibility you have already paid for follows you across.
The most common mistake is launching a new site with new URLs and no redirect map. Traffic drops, nobody can explain why, and by the time someone does the rankings have to be rebuilt from scratch.

Partly, and it takes work. Wix does not offer a clean export of a whole site. Blog posts can often be exported, and structured content can sometimes be pulled through the API, but page layouts and most page content come across by hand.

- When should we move off a website builder like Webflow, Wix, or Squarespace?

When the platform is blocking the business, not when it is annoying you. The usual signals are real user accounts with permissions, a workflow that needs server-side logic you can trust, an integration with a system of record, content structures the builder cannot model, or an accessibility requirement you cannot meet from the outside.
If none of those apply, stay. A rebuild costs more than most owners expect and the gain is often cosmetic. When you do move, do it in one planned migration with a full redirect map so your search traffic follows.
- Will a refresh hurt my SEO?

Done carefully, no... and it may even improve your SEO. Because we keep your structure and URLs, a refresh is much lower-risk for search than a full rebuild. We watch for the usual pitfalls regardless, and while we're looking at how your site looks we're also making sure to rebuild semantically.
